Where the Giorgio Galli series left off, Timex Atelier carries forward – proportion, clarity and modern design, refined into luxury, the Timex way.
Timex has been a watchmaker since 1854. Over the past 170 years, the company has been in constant pursuit of what is new, relevant, and next. The Timex legacy is not built on a single look or style. It is built on an evolving commitment to modernity, to design that reflects its time and sometimes moves just ahead of it.
Timex Atelier is the next chapter. It is not a break from the brand’s past, but a deliberate continuation of its key principles: independence, quality, and timeless design, alongside a commitment to value that has made Timex trusted for generations.
Where the Giorgio Galli series left off, Timex Atelier now carries forward. The watches are designed so that luxury, the Timex way, is discovered in the details that matter most; not to announce themselves, but to hold up under attention.
“Every Timex Atelier watch begins with proportion, but it is in the details where discovery lives. The more you study each surface, each line, each relationship between elements, the more you begin to understand what has been carefully placed, and what has been intentionally left out. These watches are not designed to impress at a glance. They are designed to be discovered, slowly, over time.” – Giorgio Galli, Chief Creative Director, Timex Group
“Timex Atelier represents a defining moment for Timex. It distils more than 170 years of watchmaking into a refined design philosophy rooted in proportion and clarity. It is a statement of who we are and how we move forward, where luxury, the Timex way, is defined by design that endures and details that reward attention.” -Tobias Reiss-Schmidt, President and CEO, Timex Group
The First Expression: Marine M1a
The launch timepiece, the Timex Atelier Marine M1a, embodies this philosophy. Its 41mm stainless-steel case features a skeletonised architecture with a black IP-coated middle case, screw-down crown, and 200M water resistance all framed under a double-curved sapphire crystal treated with triple-layer anti-reflective coating. A unidirectional rotating bezel is fitted with a black ceramic insert, Swiss Luminova, and elapsed time index. Beneath it, a polished black enamel dial reveals silver-applied indices and hands filled with Swiss Luminova for clarity at all hours.
Inside, the Swiss-made CATENA SA 100 automatic movement delivers 29 jewels, a 36-hour power reserve, and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Two versions will be offered: one with a stainless-steel bracelet featuring a custom deployant buckle and self-adjustable links, and another with a premium NBR rubber strap for a more technical aesthetic.
This is a legacy, not of nostalgia, but of modernity.
