ALIFE Unites Industry Professionals at Deepavali Celebration

The Malaysian Association for Arts, Live Events, Concerts and Festivals (ALIFE) successfully hosted its Members Meet Session and Deepavali Get-Together on 30 October 2025 at Dewan Tun Razak, Stadium Merdeka.

Dedicated to fortifying Malaysia’s live events ecosystem, ALIFE continues to bring industry players together through meaningful networking and shared learning. The event was further graced by senior officers from the Royal Malaysian Customs Department and representatives from the Unit Permohonan Penggambaran Filem Asing dan Persembahan Artis Luar Negara (PUSPAL), who shared valuable perspectives with attendees.

Dato’ Alan Foo, Chairman of ALIFE Malaysia, commenced the evening with a warm welcome address, setting an engaging and insightful tone for the session. This was followed by an informative presentation by Noorsyafrina Shafee from the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, who elaborated on SST guidelines pertinent to the entertainment and events sector. The session continued with Ahmad Mahathir Mohd Hilmi, Head of PUSPAL, sharing recent initiatives and developments designed to further enhance Malaysia’s thriving live entertainment industry.

Adding to the evening’s highlights, Dato’ Ir Ts Izwan Hasli Mohd Ibrahim, CEO Designate of PNB Merdeka Ventures, delivered an insightful talk on the progress of Merdeka 118 Tower and ongoing heritage building restoration projects under PNB Ventures—offering a glimpse into the exciting transformation of Kuala Lumpur’s iconic precinct.

The gathering also saw the presence of Para Rajagopal (Advisor, ALIFE), Brian Johnson Lowe (Deputy Chairman), Kinnix Chan (Honorary Secretary), Veena Mohan (Organizing Chairperson), Dato’ R. Rajendran, artist Winnie K, Roger Ng (Head of Precinct Commercialization, Merdeka Ventures), along with some 40 other members, guests, and industry leaders.

Guests were treated to a delightful culinary experience courtesy of Nikka Kitchen & Lounge, complementing an evening filled with meaningful conversations, collaboration, and festive spirit.
