Nike’s latest sustainable passion project sees the brand giving back to the local community by bringing together the community through sport activities, and inspiring people to unleash their fullest potential through the Shek Lei Grind Court.
Located in Kwai Chung residential neighbourhood, the court surface is made from Nike Grind materials extracted from 20,000 pairs of used sneakers and brought to life by whimsical characters designed by renowned illustrator and toy designer James Jarvis.
The Shek Lei Estate was specifically for its humble neighbourhood surrounded by more than 10 primary and secondary schools. The newly designed side-by-side kids and standard basketball court will serve and provide an accessible sports community hub for the less privileged kids and families.
